NMotion Managing Director

The NMotion Accelerator is excited to recruit a new Managing Director to join our team! We are focused on continuing to make a significant impact on the Midwest regional startup community through our start-up accelerator program, NMotion Labs, and additional programs/workshops throughout the year to help founders at all stages of business development.

The Managing Director (MD) is responsible for recruiting amazing teams and leading them through the rigorous 90-day NMotion start-up accelerator program with the goal of preparing them to pitch to investors at the annual NMotion Demo Day; managing additional NMotion start-up and founder follow-up programming; supporting programs for the (anticipated) Nebraska NSF I-Corps Site; leading the fundraising activities, as needed, for the NMotion programs; and managing the regional mentor pool serving the programs above.

The ideal candidate will have start-up accelerator and leadership experience, startup company experience, know how to take ownership of projects and get impactful stuff done, like working with a mission-driven team to make a difference and have spectacular communication skills.

This MD opportunity is a full-time position to be filled as soon as possible. It includes great benefits including vacation/sick leave and health insurance.

NMotion is a 501(c)(3) corporation, a result of the public-private partnership between the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development, the greater Lincoln community and private investors. A member of the Global Accelerator Network (GAN), NMotion provides programming and support to the Lincoln, UNL, and greater Nebraska and regional start-up ecosystem. Programming includes a 90-day accelerator, NMotion Labs (pre-accelerator), and post-accelerator startup and founder support (NMotion Fellows). During NMotion’s first five years, 30 companies graduated from the accelerator program.
